THERAPY SERVICES
Rooted in Culture. Centered on You
We provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your emotions, gain clarity, and build the tools you need to move forward with strength and hope.
Couples & Relationship Therapy
Our goal is to strengthen your relationship and help reduce the high levels of conflict that can lead to separation or divorce. According to the Ghana Population and Housing Census (PHC), over 500,000 marriages have been dissolved, and more than 400,000 couples have separated, a growing concern we take seriously.
In our care, you will find hope through a solution-focused, evidence-based approach that equips couples with tools to reconnect, communicate effectively, and rebuild emotional closeness. Healing is possible but it requires commitment, honesty, and emotional vulnerability from both partners. True change comes when each person is willing to see, hear, and validate their partner’s unique perspective, especially when it’s different from their own.

In Ghana today, a typical wedding can cost between GH¢50,000 and GH¢250,000 (Jana Tribe, 2024) and in North America, couples often spend an average of $45,000 USD on a wedding, investing 10–18 months and 200–500 hours into planning the big day. But how many couples invest even a fraction of that time or money into preparing for the marriage that follows?
A beautiful wedding is a wonderful celebration, but a thriving marriage is a lifelong commitment that demands preparation, self-awareness, and shared values. Premarital counselling is for couples who are intentional, wise, and invested in building a solid foundation.
At Elpizo Therapy, our premarital programs are designed to help you:
- Understand each other’s values, communication styles, and love languages
- Clarify expectations about roles, finances, intimacy, and family
- Build conflict-resolution and decision-making skills
- Explore spiritual, cultural, and emotional foundations of your relationship
Premarital counselling may not make your wedding day longer, but it will strengthen your marriage for the days, months, and decades to come.
How it will help you
These sessions can help you practice crucial relationship skills, so that you can be more aligned with major aspects of your relationship, creating a stronger foundation on which to begin your marriage.
